Dear FISA members,
As we head into the Summer term of 2011, there are a few important announcements you should be aware of.
First of all, I (Wei Wang) will be stepping down as president of FISA as of Summer 2011, and we have recently elected Sebastian Mony to take my place. I have high hopes for Sebastian as the new president, and every confidence in his dedication, charisma and leadership to successfully nurture and grow FISA to match the increasing international student needs in the coming terms.
It has been a pleasure and a valuable learning experience serving the FISA community this last year and I’ll continue to be involved with FISA as an advisor and a volunteer in the effort to continue our growing initiatives to build an worldwide FISA student/alumni database as well as build relationships with business that are receptive to internationals.
We are currently seeking the following officer positions:
- VP of Communications
- VP of Marketing
- VP of IT
Also, active Volunteer Board Members are always welcome.
Note: VBMs do not have formal responsibilities, and is a great way to get to know the club’s activates.
Also, you must be a least a VBM (if not an Officer) to be considered for Presidency.
If you are interested, please submit your candidacy to fordhamisa@gmail.com for the position you’re interested in with an attached Resume.
Finally, FISA is still a relatively new and developing club. Even though in this last year we’ve built a solid foundation and succeeded by a dedicated new team, I’d like to personally ask for your patience and cooperation in the coming terms as we tackle some of our biggest and most rewarding initiatives for the international student community as well as the American counterpart.
Thank you, and have great summer!
Regards,
Wei Wang
